Our Mission

Welcome to Olive’s Doodles - bringing unconditional love and endless joy into your life!

Our purpose is to provide you with the healthiest, happiest, and most empowered dog possible. Our goal is to raise our puppies in the healthiest environment we can provide, starting with our parents. Our multi-generational mini Goldendoodle and Bernedoodle parents are cleared through genetics (Embark) and health testing (OFA). Moreover, they are provided with the best veterinary care, exercise multiple times daily, the best fresh diet and nutrition, and a loving home environment surrounded by their family.

Please note that health testing does not mean you are getting a dog that will never have any issues. Some things can’t be tested for. What it means is that we are doing our part to ensure that we are breeding with the utmost care and attention to provide you with a genetically sound puppy.

Our puppies

At Olive’s Doodles, we raise our puppies on the BAB Curriculum that aligns with their developmental benchmarks, we respect, honor, and empower them to believe in themselves. We will be the first humans that show them trust and respect, and teach them that people are kind and dogs are friendly.

For the first 8 weeks, we will dedicate our puppies lots of time, energy, knowledge, and love to ensure they will be the best they can be before they go home to their forever families. At Olive’s Doodles, all our puppies are raised on an Advanced Puppy Curriculum that includes Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Early Scent Introduction (ESI) from day 3-16, 10 Step Puppy Handling Exercises, Exposure Activities, and Socialization Activities.

ENS was developed by the US Military Special Canine Unit and showed that introducing puppies to small amounts of controlled stress during the critical early growth period forces their bodies to compensate, therefore creating stronger bodies. Early Neurological Stimulation exposes the puppies to mild stresses in a controlled environment and helps boost brain development, improve circulation and the immune system, improve the cardiovascular system, stimulate the neurological system, and improve the stress responses in later life.

ESI helps puppies to develop their nose better during that same critical time, days 3-16, in a puppy’s life. This is crucial for dogs that need to use their nose for work like police k-9s, hunting dogs, and diabetic alert dogs to name a few. This is also useful for any puppy to build their confidence in one or more areas of their life.

Starting at 3 weeks of age, puppies will start a 10-Step Handling Exercise to get them used to being handled in a variety of ways. It was developed by Jeanette Forrey, and aims to increase puppies’ touch tolerance and compliance, ensuring they are comfortable with various types of human handling. These exercises are typically introduced when puppies are around two to three weeks old and are performed daily to build trust and reduce aversion to touch, Moreover, this helps them to be compliant with children, vets, groomers, and anything else that may come their way.

In addition, our puppies will be introduced to nail clippers, baths, and blow dryers. From there we will introduce potty training, crate training, and lots of exposure activities like car rides, loud noises, unique smells, and challenges to help develop a confident and well-adjusted puppy. Exposure activities will help puppies learn to work and problem-solve in different places and will foster confidence, encouraging them to believe in their abilities.

At 7 weeks old, our puppies will go through a temperament evaluation to determine their personality and other traits that will help us in placing them in the perfect home. Our goal is to pair the right puppy with the right family so they will feel safe and will thrive. When evaluating a puppy using Jeanette Forrey’s methods, we assess traits like confidence, nerve strength, motivation, energy level, resilience, and problem-solving ability. These traits help determine how a puppy will handle stress, new environments, training, and social interactions. Understanding a puppy’s temperament allows us to match them with the right family or training path, ensuring they thrive in their home. It also helps predict future behaviors and how much structure, enrichment, or training they will need to succeed.

Once temperament testing is complete, families will be able to view the results and then pick their puppies in order of the reservations.
